Katerina Kirilova

Katerina Kirilova is a Bulgarian illustrator whose work moves between fine ink drawing and folk painting. She studied applied design in Sofia and now builds repeat patterns for interiors. Her practice sits at the meeting point of European botanical illustration and Eastern European folk craft, and her work has been part of independent design fairs since the early years of her career.

Each Kirilova piece starts as a hand drawn study. She layers birds, blooms and small insects into a single composition before bringing it into digital color. The line work stays delicate. The color palette leans warm, with terracotta, ochre, soft green and cream running through her catalogue.

Her designs reach buyers through our global studio. Read more about her process on the designer profile page. She belongs to our wider designer roster, and her prints are produced as removable peel and stick murals sized to fit any wall.
