The back is a low tack adhesive. Think of a very strong sticker that was built to be peeled. You line the panel up, press it on, and smooth out the air as you go.

Got it crooked? Peel it back and try again. That is the part people do not expect. You get a second chance, and a third. When you move out, warm the edge with a hair dryer and pull it away slowly at an angle. It comes off clean. Our peel and stick wallpaper is built for exactly this.

This matters more than the design you pick. A smooth, painted, clean wall is ideal. Most rental walls are.

Semi-gloss and satin paint hold it best. Flat matte paint is the one to watch, because it can lift with the paper. Fresh paint needs a few weeks to cure first. Textured or heavily bumpy walls are the real problem, since the adhesive only touches the high points. Wipe the wall down and let it dry before you start.
